RIP Cheung
Is my period coming soon? My hormones must be out of wack because I cannot believe how emotional I just got. According to some posts and news links I found at RT, Leslie Cheung, that most handsome of actors from Farewell My Concubine, apparently died by means of suicide. I hope its not true. The character he played in Concubine moved me so profoundly...man. I found this out about 20 minutes ago and I'm still tearing up. Why am I crying? I don't know, really. Why...? I feel like going out tomorrow and renting every movie he was in and watching them back to back. But if course tomorrow is my long day...maybe I'll do it on Thursday.
I suppose I have an affinity for gay characters, and a profound respect for actors that can portray gay individuals on-screen as humans, not just poorly drawn caricatures. I hope its not true. Man. RIP, Leslie.
