Sup, Beantown
I'm currently in Boston, sprawled out in my hotel room at the Westin, waiting for Arisia to commence. Actually I'm taking advantage of the thermostat (old house + lack of insulation = freezing home) and getting ready to grab dinner with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
emily_goddess and her beau. I've never been to Arisia but the schedule seems quite promising, and I've only been to twice before: once on a college tour and the second time chaperoning kids at Brown's summer program (the only thing I remember of Boston is that I saw The Blair Witch Project here, ended up sitting in the front row because we got to the theatre late, I got motion sick about halfway through and ended up walking out). The Westin is a bit removed from the heart of the city and it's *freezing* outside so walking back towards South Station will probably risk an extremity or three, but I'm optimistic about the fun to be had.
I was hoping this place would have a bar where I could watch the Jets-Pats game over the weekend, but I haven't noticed a promising spot. Oh well.
