2. Am in the middle of reading Almost Perfect by Brian Katcher (last year's Stonewall Award Winner). It's an engaging read and, as I downloaded it last night, typically I'd be done with it by now. But, Jesus, the book is killing me. A good thing, yes, but invokes all sorts of feelings of sympathy and guilt and sadness leading up to the conclusion I've been (stupidly) spoiled for that I read a couple of chapters and then find myself having to take a deep breath and a step away. And Katcher does that blatant foreshadowing bit every other chapter that pisses me off. I will finish, I will! I have a number of books to work through at the moment.
