The recent one had *excellent* cinematography, though. And I admired the emphasis on the physical unspoken dialogue between Darcy and Elizabeth (even though it became quite heavy-handed at times). Not so much a fan of the dewy morn-backdropped admission of love, nor the blatant sexual innuendo in the way the last scene between Elizabeth and Darcy was shot. Other than that it was like the "Pride and Prejudice for Dummies" version in comparison, I agree. It's for when you don't have 4 hours to spare. And you're foolish enough to forego the Firth. Fiiiiiiiiiiirth! :)
