1. What are some of the things that get you going in the morning? particularly on those crummy days.
Lately, heat has been the answer. This means turning on the heater in the bathroom, warming up the car thoroughly, and drinking a hot cup of tea as soon as possible! Cold=crabby Hot=happy
2. Can you share one situation from your younger years that at the time was supremely embarrassing but, in retrospect, proved a true learning experience?
At an afterschool center I wanted to go swimming (they had an indoor pool). I didn't want to change in the yucky bathroom where strange old people were. So, I slipped behind a door in the rec room to change. Of course, the boy I had a crush on walked in and spotted me there in my underwear!!! Lesson: If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it in front of people who don't know you.
3. Fried ice cream: mindboggling genius or a sign of the Apocalypse?
I haven't actually tried it. On reputation alone I'll call it mindboggling genius (but an apocalypse to the waistline).
4. What do you plan on doing once you get your degree? In what ways do you think it will impact your life?
I need at least a 2yr degree to take the credentialing exam in Assistive Technology. This will get me certified and provide enhanced job security and peace of mind. I'll also have more education than my parents had, which has always been a goal for me. Then I can move on to motherhood! :D
5.What fictional character do you most compare yourself to?
Without days of thought, I'll say The Giving Tree: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Giving_Tree I feel I gain a great deal by helping others. While I have necessary streaks of self-preservation, I try to make them the exception rather than the rule.
