Points of interest

Point the First (1st): FINALLY got a Wii in my hot little hands. I had to wake up at 5AM, head over to the Nintendo Store, and wait for two and a half hours, but I have one. Picked up Zelda and the Rayman game with the console and an additional controller. I'm going to hold off touching it until this evening, so the bro and I can indulge when the younger ones are sleeping. Me = stoked.

Point the Second (2nd): TWoP is selling shirts from the past. If you've never checked out Glarkware and/or the Now or Never merchandise, this is the perfect time. I'm peeved the "Petrelli for Congress" shirts are sold out, but "Clex Appeal"? is so mine.

Point the Third (3rd): The plan is to check out "300" at Imax with the middle bro this afternoon. Oldest bro and youngest bro decided to be punks and sneak off to see it on their own this week, while I was at work and middle bro was off on his senior trip. Youngest bro's been screaming out "Spartaaaaaaa!" at random intervals ever since. I suppose that's young male for "two thumbs up".

Point the Fourth (4th): I had a patient on Sunday who desat'ed to around 73%. It was *the* most terrifying event I've had to work through to date. I'm pretty sure the Wii purchase, the Glarkwear shopping, and the movie plan all sprang from a need to make myself feel better and/or avoid thinking about how frightening my job can be. So much second-guessing of myself, and I spend so much time questioning my skills that I doubt my miniscule amount of self-esteem is up to the challenge. But...*deep breath*.

1. Basically, if you buy a second wiimote, you can get one for $40, but if you drop an extra $10, you get a little freebie game, called Wii Play. In Japan, they got Wii Play and had to buy Wii Sports. By all reports, we got the better end of that deal, as Wii Play is allegedly not all that good.

2. Not a ton, but enough to have been exposed to TWOP in the past. TWOP!

3. Yeah, it was good. That said, I wanted it to be the best film EVER, and it wasn't that... I'm a huge fan of the graphic novel, and it didn't entirely live up to my expectations. Especially everything they added in. Stupid Spartan political drama. Grr.

4. That sounds... painful.

re 1. Ah. They didn't offer me Wii Play. I didn't even know it existed until you mentioned it. I'll probably end up putting down for two additional controllers, though, so if I get it I'll let you know.

re 3. All the wife stuff messed up my good movie. I found all the romance stuff between her and Leonidas to be valuable bathroom break time. I know it was added to increase the number of females viewers, but as a female viewer I found it ridiculous and more than a little annoying. More blood and battles, please.

Once I find out what the heck a friend code is and where I can locate mine I'll yet you know. First time I heard about it was reading through my comments.

1. Aww. Well, when you get p3 and p4...

3. I completely agree. I dunno if you read the graphic novel, but all of the stuff with the wife before he left for the battle was in there, but everything after they left wasn't. So, no awkward political struggles, no completely horrible and offensive rape scenes... I want them to come out with a Director's Cut that has those scenes taken out. It'll be AWESOME.

When you click on the little 'mail' button on the home page, and then click 'send a message', you'll be presented with three options. The one on the far right is your address book. On the cover is your friend code.

You then send that out to your peeps, and enter the friend codes they give you into your address book. Once you and your friend have added each other, then you can send mail, Miis, etc etc.
