Things I've Realized Over the Last Few Days
-Never watch a movie about plane explosions and painful deaths a few days before you're planning on flying cross-country. It's not good for the nerves.
-I'm searching for something. Not searching very intensely, but still searching, I think. But I'm looking in the wrong places. I don't think what I want is going to be found on a screen or printed on paper, although these are the less painful places to look. We learn about ourselves in part from our interactions with others, and damn if that isn't the stone-cold truth.
-It's like I'm living with elves. Little door-slamming, shower-using, pot-washing elves that only emerge when I'm not around. I really should have sprung for the studio or one bedroom instead of putting up with these goddamn roommates.
-I care entirely too much about what other people think. Fuck 'em.
