Also, San Fran, you must go to fisherman's wharf and see the sea lions (their not seals you $Q#% tourists!) They rule. Japantown is good for food and Golden Gate Park is really pretty. If you want cool shots of Alcatraz go to Fort Point. climb to the top, awesome view of the Pacific! The haight has good thrift shops or they used to!
