Day off! Day off! Yayz!

I came very close to being productive today: I woke up at my usual 6:20AM unable to return to sleep, I ran through my ablutions, put the kettle on, watched the umpteenth repeat of the night's Sportscenter with a cup of coffee in one hand and a scone in the other, went upstairs to grab my laptop and wool blanket before half-heartedly going through the Times, and then ended up wasting the entire morning and afternoon waiting for FedEx to drop off my phone. By the time I actually *got* my precious item I'd thrown all thoughts of real productivity out the window (even though I'd finally changed out of my PJ and everything!), and ended up settling down to play some Rock Band 2. Aqualung is a decent song; who knew?

Tomorrow (because today? a complete loss) I look for a costume, get my hair did, and other stuff...yeah, productivity is overrated.

Going to San Fran. in January. Anything in particular I should look into doing?

whoot! You still want to do something tomorrow? I gotta run to IKEA and clean out my car and I should probably finish packing....but I'll have some free time too! Also, San Fran, you must go to fisherman's wharf and see the sea lions (their not seals you $Q#% tourists!) They rule. Japantown is good for food and Golden Gate Park is really pretty. If you want cool shots of Alcatraz go to Fort Point. climb to the top, awesome view of the Pacific! The haight has good thrift shops or they used to!

I love San Francisco!! Bundle up because it'll be frickin' freezing out there in January! Go to Alcatraz. Take the tour. It is so worth it. I believe there is an art museum in Golden Gate Park but the name escapes me. They had a Picasso exhibit when I was there. Ghiradelli Square is cute. You will not be able to leave SF without at least five pounds of Ghiradelli chocolate and sourdough bread. DEFINITELY go to Cliff House. It's absolutely gorgeous. And the hippy in me was unbelievably happy to visit Haight Ashbury where I bought lotsnlots of Beatles stuff. OOOOOH and one more awesome thing. The Presidio. It's an old military base at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. WAY haunted. Wish I was going with you - So jealous!
