If you like medieval displays the Cloisters is the spot to hit. And what's nice is that if you're on an art kick you can hit the Cloisters and the Met in the same day with no additional charge.

The park surrounding it is nice enough to allow for a day trip when you do make it out. :)

Perfect weather for it. Fort Tryon is a great place for a picnic as well.
