I don't have HBO OnDemand anymore as far as I know (switched to Verizon Fios and homg, suckage) but I did manage to catch a couple of trailers. My question: why does everyone have to speak with a British accent if a show has a vaguely medieval basis? I know half the cast is, in fact, from across the pond, but really? Even for the Borgias show (don't watch but was basically forced to sit through a couple of episodes by an obsessed friend) which is in Ren. Italy they all have British accents. Does stuffy clothing automatically equal Brit accent?

Not going to watch too many trailers, because I don't want to spoil myself and/or overhype for the actual show. I did find myself wondering if they aged up Daenerys at all, because from the glimpses I caught seems like they didn't flinch with the whole consummation scene between her and Drogo.

There was a throwaway line in two of the trailers I caught where a woman said something along the lines of "I can't stomach someone who would kill children"...? I can hear all the readers of ASOIAF LOLing from my room with that one.

And, yes, Arya! She's my #2, and I'm glad the actress playing her seems competent.

*grin* I think you might have more on Thor than I do. I want to go all Norse mythology but while the trailers mention Thor being a god (duh), all the previews I've come across say the Thor in this movie is not actually a god. Trying to not offend the red states, maybe?
