I'm looking out for you.

Shout out to my girl [livejournal.com profile] captainschlumpy : Your guide to absurd 'sexy' Halloween costumes. Because why settle for a sexy nurse costume* when you can be a Naughty Nemo.

*Because I always felt sexy when I was cleaning out and dressing a gaping pressure ulcer. Or when the ileostomy I was trying to pouch just could not stop seeping stool. OR when I ended up finding out my new admission was a hoarder who collected her piss in a bucket. Yeah, totally HAWT.

Why, why have you killed the sexy nurse for me forever? *sob*

...Kidding.

What a collection of costumes...

You know, I get the whole "sexy nurse" fantasy. I do. But I always find it funny how far away it is from reality.

I love Halloween.

*l* You're quite right, of course... I think pretty much any job with a uniform can be fetishized. What is it about dressing people the same that excites us...? Or are many of us just deeply aroused by good tailoring?

? Think it ties into the West's Victorian hang-ups about sex? In that those who are buttoned up and in uniform are considered contained, and the idea of those individuals engaging in sexual congress excites because of the unfettered aspect? Like a gentleman in a three piece is considered attractive and well put-together, but loosen the jacket and unbutton the collar and all of a sudden he's sex on a plate...?

No, just me? Okay then. It's the tailoring.
