This "Aspiring Actress" (*snort*) was shot last night.

Okay, I have to say - why is this shit making headline news? The woman was not famous, and she was killed for no reason. If three strangers come up to you and your SO late at night and ask for your wallet GIVE IT TO THEM. Don't play stupid and try to fight back, whether or not you know if they have a weapon on them. What pisses me off about something like this is that shootings happen in this city. Crime happens in this city. But the only time it makes around-the-board headline news is if it happens to a non-minority. I mean, they're carrying this story as headline news on CNN.com! It was front-page news in the Daily News and the Post. And, no, I don't think it's the fact that this woman supposedly "explored life's darker sides" in her work that's making the head honchos put her picture on Page One.

You know, I totally forgot to get angry about how that factored into the equation.

No, wait, I didn't - because the only time minorities are attractive is if they look like Caucasians, so, yeah, it all filters down to the fact that...it's Halle Berry's fault! Damn that "Catwoman" making, SUV hit-and-run perpetrating bitch straight to B-movie hell!
