Wanna make me a bookbag?

According to one of Michael Musto's spies in "Brokeback Mountain" (a movie that I too keep dubbing "Bareback Mountain") "Jake Gyllenhaal gets it up the ass and loves it!"...to which I say "One ticket, please!"
I read that quote in-between nodding on myself during the ride home, and snorted.

My dilemma - I want a medium-sized messenger bag of ballistic nylon (the different fabrics have different color choices) from here. Customized, because the only way you can add the handle and/or the additional pocket is if you pick the customize option. My problem is I have no grasp of color schemes. I want a bag that looks moderately interesting, but I keep picking the same ho-hum pattern. I'd love it if someone popped over there and built a color scheme for me, keeping in mind that green is my favorite color so I'd like it to be on the bag somewhere. Just reply with the colors you decided on in the order you decided on, and I'll see if I like it enough to order it. I'd really appreciate it if you did. Sides, it's a nice way to waste a couple of minutes.

I like that too, although I kept making the grading colors (first panel dark green, second panel light green or yellow, last panel lime). I keep thinking I should do something "wild and crazy" with the colors, but I honestly have no clue.

Aren't the bags gnarly, though? The straps run across your abdomen and down your shoulder, giving extra support (always a good thing I say, as a top-heavy individual...*ahem*). I hope it looks are good in my hands as it does on their website.

I haven't done and yaoi (?) reading yet, but I have your list saved on my desktop. During break it's so on. *grin*

I have one that is all black........I like simplicity. But, I kinda like the royal blue and grey combo, http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/byobclassic.t2

Damn, the link didn't save the color. But I put royal blue on the two ends/sides and the grey in the middle. The inside is grey.

The Flash doesn't save, which is sucky.

Thanks for the suggestion, though I'm not a big blue fan. I think maybe I had a run-in with a blue Crayola in Kindergarten and never fully recovered. Yet another thing I'll have to bring up during future therapy sessions.

Left and right khaki, with dark green middle. There's plenty of contrast, yet the colors are still pretty complimentary.

That's a cool scheme. Thanks! I'll check it out.

Dude! Neither can I. It's one of those anxious "I wanna see it/I don't wanna see it" things, because I've read the story. Hope it doesn't deviate much.

Thanks for the bag suggestion, btw.

I did olive on the left panel, light green as the middle and lime green on the rightmost panel - grey lining and black logo, by the way. I'm a total whore for green, so I used a lot of it!

[identity profile] fredericks.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 12:13 pm (UTC)(link)
That is the same one I keep making. *grin*
I didn't want to make one like that, because there's a non-customed ($10 cheaper) bag with the same layout. I need to customize it to add the extra pocket and/or handle I want, and I was hoping to at least pay more for a color that they didn't make en masse. Eh. I might end up making that one anyway.

I did dark green on the right and left...violet in the middle...and then orange for the lining. Looked good!

Ooooh! That's "daring". *grin* Thanks for the suggestion.
