We took a trip to the school's upstate campus to attend a Career/Job fair. I had pleasant flashbacks to elementary band trips, but this time I was one of the cool kids in the back of the bus...no kissing during this journey, though. One of the women I thought to be annoying turned out to be anything but. The other one is still on my "do not bother me" list. All the hospitals had roughly the same salary, and none of them want to look at us until it gets closer to August. Waste of time on the whole, but I do enjoy watching the scenery fly by while riding in an auto.

The Nursing in the Media paper garnered me a 100. I was lucky style wasn't taken into account because I got tons of pen corrections for grammar and punctuations in the first 5 pages or so, and then it seems like the professor gave up because there were no markings thereafter. Wasn't so lucky on my exam - received a 72. As the class average was 72.5 I don't feel quite so bad. I figure TPTB will tack on at least 8 points and I'll be back coasting the solid B average I'm so proud of. *snort*. The chance of me maintaining my 3.6 for Sigma Tau grows slimmer and slimmer. I should stay up and study for the Patho exam on Thursday but since I'm running on 4 hours sleep over the last 2 days and I have clinical tomorrow I figure it'd be safer all around if I'm not dozing on myself while preparing meds. The Care Plan will simply have to be handed in late, goddamn it.

I've become quite bitter recently, but I believe I hide it well. Or did before putting it all on point in my journal. Sometimes I think if I couldn't make people laugh there'd be no point to my existence. I take my pleasures where I can.

*grin* Once I can no longer see Yankee Stadium I'm officially upstate. We weren't that far, though. Pleasantville.

Ah, but you're fun when you're bitter! Could it be chalked up to not enough sleep? What's Sigma Tau?

*grin* I'm glad my bitterness amuses. I always come with a touch of bitter but it's increased lately is what I meant to say. It might have to do with lack of sleep or simply other things I have going on right now.

Sigma is the Nat'l Nursing Honor society. You have to have a GPA over 3.5 to get in. The way things are working now I'll have to get hundreds in all my future exams in order to make it. Meh - a challenge.
