Gotta have friends
I got the opportunity to meet ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
1x2foralways for the first time today. It was interesting, as I've spoken to her in various ways online for...? at least two years? At any rate a long time. We met around Penn Station and went to a Starbucks for a bit, waxing nostalgic on the utter craziness that is the QAF fandom among other things before taking in a taping of "The People's Court". I generally avoid the court shows - if I'm home at that time of day I'm either reading or studying - but after enjoying myself I think I might make an effort to tune in in the future. After the show we perused a conveniently located if somewhat empty Yankee store and then had dinner at the next door Chinese restaurant, a place that loudly proclaimed itself to be Jerry Seinfeld's favorite, autographed blown up picture and all. 1x2foralways being a huge Seinfeld fan I figured we couldn't pass up eating there. Gotta say, my dishes were quite pedestrian. I guess they break out the big guns for the celebs. I had tons of fun during the whole day and found the company most delightful (hee!). I can't help but hope I get to meet more of my long term LJ friends offline in the near future.
Toppers on the day - I got a callback for an interview (screening interview, perhaps). The hospital in question hires on permit so theoretically I can work for them immediately. Totally stoked.
