Gotta have friends

I got the opportunity to meet 1x2foralways for the first time today. It was interesting, as I've spoken to her in various ways online for...? at least two years? At any rate a long time. We met around Penn Station and went to a Starbucks for a bit, waxing nostalgic on the utter craziness that is the QAF fandom among other things before taking in a taping of "The People's Court". I generally avoid the court shows - if I'm home at that time of day I'm either reading or studying - but after enjoying myself I think I might make an effort to tune in in the future. After the show we perused a conveniently located if somewhat empty Yankee store and then had dinner at the next door Chinese restaurant, a place that loudly proclaimed itself to be Jerry Seinfeld's favorite, autographed blown up picture and all. 1x2foralways being a huge Seinfeld fan I figured we couldn't pass up eating there. Gotta say, my dishes were quite pedestrian. I guess they break out the big guns for the celebs. I had tons of fun during the whole day and found the company most delightful (hee!). I can't help but hope I get to meet more of my long term LJ friends offline in the near future.

Toppers on the day - I got a callback for an interview (screening interview, perhaps). The hospital in question hires on permit so theoretically I can work for them immediately. Totally stoked.
