(no subject)

I went to Fandango.com to purchase tickets for the IMAX showing of Spiderman 3 on Saturday the 5th and all the showings save the first are ALREADY SOLD OUT. That shit only went on sale this freakin' morning! I knew I shouldn't have taken a nap before clicking on the link. Shit.

you know...

i was so disappointed with the first two spider-man movies -- the action sequences were great, but i really wanted to kick everyone in the head anytime the film slowed down long enough for an exposition scene. i was all ready to not want to see this one...

...and then i found out theresa russell (see icon) was in it.

and now i'm curious.

but enough about me.

I get the feeling this Spiderman will also be burdened with slow-ass exposition scenes, but I figured all the carnage possible with three (three!) bad guys will balance things out. Then again, I usually need *some* sort of plot, no matter how flimsy, to keep me interested, and I figure with three times the exposition things will be spread fairly thin. Oh well. IMAX will make it all worthwhile.

I haven't started to check about this--but now I'm thinking I should start. I remember trying to get tickets to see Superman at IMAX--and the only tickets that were available were the late, late, too late tickets.

The weekends are almost impossible to book for here. I figure I might end up catching it on a weekday just to save myself the hassle. Or maybe a week or two after it comes out, even though the wait will be agony. /melodrama.
