A recap of sorts
Over the last couple of days I:
1. Waited on line with
atraxia in Central Park for five hours for tickets to see the Shakespeare in the Park performance of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.
2. Went with
atraxia that afternoon to see "Superbad". Damn near wet my pants laughing.
3. Saw the play that evening with K., my bro, and his girlfriend. Enjoyed parts, was completely underwhelmed by the singing, particularly the horrendous ending.
4. Met up with
xainthia and, along with roughly 700 other people, participated in Improv Everywhere's MP3 Experiment Four. Amazingly fun and funny. See if you can spot me in the myriad of Flickr pics: I'm wearing a Green Lantern shirt.
5. Discovered a beautiful tribute to the Irish Potato famine survivors near the World Trade Center. Seriously, who knew?
6. Worked a shift. Got stuck in the shitty section, with the shitty nurse's assistant. Had a shitty night. NEXT.
Over the next couple of hours I will:
1. Call the US Passport Hotline and the USPS Hotline and bitch mad heads out. One of those effin' agencies magically lost my goddamn passport. The hell, it will have to be paid.
2. Nap, no doubt dreaming about causing bodily harm to various people/organizations.
3. Check out Monteverdi's Vespers as performed at Lincoln Center. Mostly Mozart? Mostly EFFIN' AWESOME!
4. Return home, indulge in a beer, sleep the sleep of the just.
Tomorrow I will:
1. Fight waking up.
2. Not clean my room.
3. See Xanadu on Broadway. I is stoked.
My life is great with intermittent moments of suck. Complaints currently at a minimum.

I'm insanely jealous that you're going to see Xanadu. ;) Can't wait to hear how it is!

I sent your stuff down this weekend. Only thing is, I didn't send a note. Oops. I'll have to give you a card or something.

And I'm also going to throw a big WTF in for the gov't/post office losing your passport. Seriously!
I haven't seen Superbad yet, but I do NEED to see it.

The passport thing is just all sorts of ridiculous. Now I'm stymied by the whole "unless you're travelling in the next two weeks we can't address your inquiry" line from the Passport Agency. And my local post office is a goddamn joke. I'm not paying for reapplication, this much I swear.
Superbad = supaGOOD. Go, go see. ::makes shooing motions::
