Xanadu on Broadway = possibly the best thing put on God's green earth since pepper jack cheese. I don't say this lightly. Also, please note: performances on Tuesday evening start at 7PM, not 8PM. I learned this when I was standing outside the ticket counter yesterday night at 7:30PM. I missed the first thirty minutes and pissed off a couple of people as I crawled over them to my seat in the dark with the show in progress, but the hour I caught? Hilarious. The orchestra and mezzanine seats are an arm and a leg (worth it, though), but they also offer on-stage seats for half the price. On-stage seating lends itself for occasional interaction with the performers, too. There's no cast performance available on CD/iTunes for purchase, so I had to make due with a couple of tracks from the Olivia Newton-John heyday.
I'm in for work tonight but haven't been sleeping worth a damn lately. Right now I'm all edgy and can't manage to take a nap. It's taking forever for vacation to get here.

I hate how theatre tickets these days are so damn expensive! But yeah...so worth it. (:
In addition to Xanadu, we totally need to see Avenue Q together. It's been almost 2 years since I've seen that show, and I'm going through withdrawal-like symptoms that the OBC can only cure to a certain extent. So yes...possibly make it a spring outing? (: I know spring is a long ways away, but I like to plan early! ;)
Here's hoping you get some well-deserved sleep soon! *wills your vacation to get here already!*

You know, for some reason I swore we saw Avenue Q together. Are you sure we haven't seen Avenue Q? and a Broadway outing sounds fine. By the spring something else funky might be available for us to watch.

(trufax! this lady i know was in the film version of xanadu. it's in her book queen of the oddballs.)
i really want to do the onstage seats for spring awakening, but forest is afraid john gallagher is going to sit on his lap or something.

I didn't even know Spring Awakening offered stage seats. If they're on the cheap side maybe I can make a go at it.
