The stomach thing was one of those 24 hour "God, kill me now" deals, so aside from some occasional queasiness when it comes to looking at food I'm all good. Middle bro, however, became its next victim last night. I think littlest bro is the only one who hasn't manifested some sort of GI symptoms from this thing. Yet, anyway. Craziness¹ And all the broken sleep/bathroom trips has caused my sleep schedule to be even more screwed up than usual. I stayed up all night playing Rock Band² and watching Flight of the Conchords, and at the moment I'm wondering whether I should take something in an attempt to get some sleep under my belt or brave the cold (seriously, when did I move to Siberia? and how soon can I return home?) and make a trip to the grocers for hot chocolate and crackers.

Laptop and iPod for the WIN! I can play videos and streaming audio without worrying about my computer freezing up! And the new "Classic" iPods have this new streamlined design and all sorts of neat visual doodads.

The last season of The Wire starts up on Sunday. MUST. HAVE. NOW. I'm not sure where the writers intend to take the show this time around, but if they could make me care about stevedores I'm pretty sure they can do no wrong.




¹The conspiracy theorist in me is thinking "Hey, isn't releasing a mutated highly contagious form of norovirus into the populace and then tracing its spread via the internets a great way to determine the effectiveness of a particular brand of biowarfare?" Yeah, no more The Stand for me.

²Rock Band : awesome :: white : rice . That shit should be on *some* standardized test by now. The one bro who's never had it in him to play Guitar Hero has been designated our singer, oldest bro jumps on the drums, and littlest bro and I trade off on guitar and bass. When you start squabbling about who precisely screwed up enough to make you lose 20,000 fans and people start threatening to "go solo" you KNOW the game's on a whole 'nother level.

Thanks! And it looks like this season is going to be gooooooooood - seems like they've smoothly worked aspects of the stevedore storyline back into the fold. The show can be heavy-handed sometimes, but when it works? OH boy.

It'll be Wiana *once* we can get our Live connection to work. I don't know if you've dealt with this before - bros have an account that's paid up until a couple of months down the road, but for some reason the XBox keeps telling us there's no internet connection detected (and, yes, everything is plugged in in the correct places). I figure it's either the cable or our router is shot. Either way, it'll be a while until I can get online play happening.
