...what is WRONG with people????

With recent polls showing Sen. Barack Obama's lead increasing nationwide and in several GOP-leaning states, some Republicans attending John McCain-Sarah Palin campaign rallies are showing a new emotion: rage.

At a rally in Minnesota on Friday, a woman told McCain: "I don't trust Obama. I have read about him and he's an Arab."

McCain shook his head and said, "No ma'am, no ma'am. He's a decent family man...
[a] citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. That's what this campaign is all about."

Here's a link to the article, and if you haven't seen the video snippets the quotes are taken from those are also on the website.

Yes, McCain, let's not get on the woman for saying folks from the Middle East are untrustworthy. Say that Obama is a decent human being in public while your ads and your VP Candidate call him a person of questionable character and upbringing who cavorts with terrorists and your party demands to see his birth certificate "just because".

Jesus. At this point I'm afraid of what'll happen if Obama doesn't take office and what might happen if he does.

Yeah, I'm both sad and frustrated about the hatred that is showing on the right. I'm sure you heard the Daily Show where McCain was at a rally and someone was heard shouting "Kill him!" The racism is religious nuttery is terrifying, really. I'm scared, but I'm also really seeing how brave (because, really...) Obama kind of has to be.

Brave as all hell, Obama and his family. It's just nutso these days, and it's not going to get any better the closer we get to the 4th.

I'm pretty sure those little girls aren't going to have their Dad at their high school graduation, and it breaks my heart with what a fucking waste it all is.

McCain's feeble attempts to calm his rabble down are too little, too late.

I was listening to the Beeb on the way home, and the reporter was interviewing some guy in Akron who wasn't going to vote for Obama. Why? Part of it was he's a Muslim... reporter interjects and tells him no, he isn't. The guy keeps going on about how no one's seen Obama swear on a Bible, etc. and that's when I turned the car off after too much stupid.

Oh, and the guy didn't want to vote for Obama because he's black too. -_-
