The tasty bits
* The sinus/throat malady is slowly releasing me from its phlegmy grasp. Sporadic sinus discomfort hits from time to time, but no more fever threats or random chills. SCORE!, I guess. However today I had to see patients in the rain and cold weather and I was a bit underprepared clothing-wise so... fun times.
* Hot Intern a) is Brazilian (so therefore he most likely has a s.o. that looks roughly like Giselle Bundchen or a male facsimile), b)makes funny faces at random times ("yes, I make funny faces" he said, and here I was thinking dude had a twitch), c) is older than me (everyone at this damn job is older than I am), d)and continually entertains me as I educate him on the nuances of the English language ("oh, so I am your senior" he goes when we share ages, and I go "no, you're not my senior." He then makes a pensive funny face and says "But I am older than you," and I say "'senior' can denote both age and rank. You're my senior but you're not my senior." Because I set lines and I do not date those below me. Because that is WRONG. And bad business. Even if they're hot and like to greet you in Portuguese. And send you vaguely informal emails over Outlook. I don't think he understood what I meant. But he gets a pass.)
* Michael Sheen is an excellent actor. Which is why it pained me to see him in the commercial spot for the new Twilight movie. I mean, I know the man did "Underworld" and a number of its sequels (and let me not front - I LOVE "UNDERWORLD", but still), but to go from "The Queen" and "Frost and Nixon" to the Twilight movie? I think he must have the same agent as poor Gerard Butler.
* Thank you Jon Stewart for sharing with your audience the existence of Shake Weight. The visuals available at the website are just...not good. I should have to give credit card information to see that stuff.
