Lemurs not allowed?

Ninja New York. Srsly. It's a restaurant near Battery Park that's ninja themed. Because when I think "ninja" I think $15 bowls of miso soup and a kids menu. The description of the miso soup is infused with a little bit of win: "Vegetable Miso Soup. If you find a prize, you may be assassinated!?" The exclamation and question marks? Actually on the menu.

I thought ninja's didn't eat normal food, but subsisted on the souls of those they killed. That dude at Ask a Ninja has been totally lying to me.

I think you should assassinate him?! ;)

My innate procrastination at war with my need to avenge myself. I'd be the most ineffective assassinator ever.

I've heard of this place, but damn dude...they're a bit steep.

I know. I guess you're paying for the ambiance. and the poison antidote?

That's AWESOME.

I want to check it out if only to see how quickly my companion will tire of my ninja jokes. :)

The website alone is full of cheese and win.

I actually went there about a year or a year and a half ago. It's certainly expensive and the food, while good, isn't really worth the price. But you're paying for the atmosphere and the experience, which is fun. So if you've got a hundred bucks to blow on something fun and fleeting, go for it. =D

I'm tempted to drag one of my friends there during our next decompression session from work. There's no better place to rail against nutty coworkers and plot justifiable homicide than a "ninja castle."

"Ninja castle." The english on the webpage and of the menu must be mangled as a stylistic choice. Has to be.

If I had more money, I'd totally be there. I think they'd try to kill me if I just went in to order an $8 sushi roll and nothing else.

Ninjas? Attempt to kill customers? Winning retail strategy. :)

I'd totally go to a place that gets weeds out annoying customers!

The menu photos are incredible. I almost want to go just to find out what they're serving in those conch shells.

I know. Although with conch shells you're either going to get something very wonderful or very disgusting, no middle ground allowed.

The space and the food looks great.

hahaha thats funny...although from reading the other comments, it sounds like some of the other themed restaurants ive been to, including a few in NYC, ok food but you're paying for the atmosphere...i do like the menu though :)

The restaurant *looks* amazing. If I was a bigger fan of Japanese food I'd be rushing over there right now. But the food photos are nifty.
