fredericks: (Being Veep is hard work *snore*)

Gah

It is raining very very hard outside right now. This means a number of things:

1. I will become instantly saturated the moment I step outside.

2. I will get pissed at the weather for waiting to turn into perfect "stay home and read" conditions on the day I return to work.

3. I will make squelching noises as I walk from place to place and doubtless slip a number of times while walking down the subway steps.

4. There's a good chance my local subway station will be completely flooded.

5. I will have to go out and see patients because a. no one wants to work on shitty weather days and b. my employer does not know how to adequately staff, as the higher-ups hold business graduate degrees and give two craps about making sure nurses aren't working themselves ragged.

6. My supplies will become waterlogged and my computer will risk major water damage.

7. Patients will undoubtedly make me angry.

7a. Patients won't like me when I'm angry.

8. I will forgo the gym because I'll feel like a big puddle of yuk.

9. Everything will be cleared up by my commute home, belaying my bitchfest.

10. Family will piss me off just because (that will no doubt happen during the course of the day).

11. I'll be sad because I have to work tomorrow.

gah.

Maybe it'll be better than you're anticipating. :)

I was covered in water and mud from about 7 am onwards today. My rain gear gave out around 730 and I still had raccoons to vaccinate. Trust me, I feel your pain. There was much angsting on my part.
