Makes perfect sense

So I'm playing WordFeud (which, btw - if you have a smartphone d/l it and we can play continuous games; I'm "Daniella007") with my brother. And I like this game, even though the dictionary the game uses leaves A LOT to be desired ("zen" is not a word?? get out of here).

I played "wife," and he then added a "d" to make "wifed." At which point all my past English teachers were struck with stabbing headaches.

Me: "THAT IS NOT A WORD!! Use that in a sentence."
Bro: "O yes it is a word."
Bro: " 'P. Diddy had a divorce so the woman became his wifed.' "
Me: ::brain explodes::

Love it.

Does the game use Scrabble rules, maybe? "Zen" is (a) a proper noun and (b) not English, so in Scrabble it wouldn't be legal.

But I'm pretty sure "wifed" isn't a word in any language. Points to your brother for his explanation, though.

The game doesn't use Scrabble rules, just really arbitrary ones. Abbreviations and curses are considered words. The more I play the more I realize players can just lay down ties and hope they take to score points. Still fun, but I wish there was an app out there that worked with Scrabble's rules.
