This entry brought to you by my tired ass
I'm trying to figure out when I stopped having a problem posting here. I mean, when did I go from being painfully aware that LJ is a way of saying "me!me!me" to not caring? Not that that's a problem, but I just think it odd. Not every entry has to be profound or insightful. I've been bitching a lot lately, haven't I? Well, as Bobby "Crack Fiend" Brown would say "It's my prerogative". It's my journal, peeps, and bitching is what I do best at the moment.
I'm just waiting for my slacks to wash so I can stick them in the dryer. Need to get those regulation pants ready for work! I'm at the point where exhaustion is beating me down. I'm tired as a mofo, but I'm toying with staying up in order to get some reading done. Or not. I've pulled maybe two genuine all-nighters in my school life, and both were horrible experiences. I can't imagine having to stay on my feet for 10 hours tomorrow with no sleep under my belt. But you know when you only get a little sleep and you wake up feeling craptacular anyway? I think I'm at that point right now. Not sure if it's better to delay the inevitable or try to read about A/V Accessories.
Today's been chock-full of...nothing. Nothing. Today's been rather uneventful. Mom was gone when I woke up. A friend of the family's son died a week or two ago and mom and her sisters decided to make a road trip to console her. So we were stuck in the house with father *le sigh*. Of course he rouses us to go to church while he stayed home and did God knows what. The man's such a hypocrite. His friend told us that when they were younger they were forced to go to church themselves, no ifs, ands, or buts. I assume this is some sort of family tradition he feels obligated to continue. Darwent drove and, for once, we didn't have boring Father Pham telling us all that we've dressed hideously. But this guy was pretty clueless. I guess he was a visiting priest. Man, I miss Father Cavanagh. Why is it that the funny priests always get transferred out of my parishes? It's a curse.
Anyway, came back home and read. And watched TV. And cleaned. And messed around on the 'net. My uncle (kind soul that he is) came by and gave me an impromptu driving lesson at the local testing ground. I thought I did fairly well. But I still feel obligated to give my family advanced warning when I get on the road. My bros and I decided to watch LOTR:The Two Towers. I remembered that I didn't particularly like it that much (except for the Battle at Helm's Deep) so I spent time making quips about Sam and Frodo's "friendship" ("It's me...your Sam" - dear Lord, rent a ROOM) and falling asleep on myself. Then went to the folks room to attempt to watch a repeat episode of "Queer as Folk". But it was the crappy one with Brian being an asshole (hey! that's EVERY QAF episode). Next week the steroid storyline comes to a head. Must MUST watch it. I need a cable box and electricity in my room STAT. Before the new season starts playing. I will freak if I'm forced to d/l episodes anymore.
Yeah, boring day, boring life, boring me boring you. I wonder if I'll quit RS first or if I'll get fired. I've never been fired from a job before. I suppose there's a first time for everything. Hmm. Time to go check the machine.

Ha! Funny how that works.
I was roused for church every day when I lived at home. And look at me now. Staunch atheist. I'm sure I'll do the same to my children.
Parents are odd sometimes. Sorry you have to suffer through that.
Thanks for the kind word
