So late to the party

I have this habit of catching onto shows after they're well on their way. It has something with me being so childish and stubborn that I find myself willfully fighting the (usually) Internet hype on them. Once my curiousity is peaked, the shows are either onto an advanced season (The Sopranos, Frasier, for example) or cancelled (Firefly, Family Guy). Luckily for me there's the wonder of DVD boxed sets. I picked up the first few episodes of Alias, Season 1, and I'm LOVING IT. It's weird because, as a Television Without Pity follower, I know a number of little things about the show, I know there's a massive Francine doppelganger story coming up, and I know that Vaughn and Bristol get it on eventually. I also know her mom shows up later on. But I'm enjoying the ride. The episodes end in the "tear your hair out" suspense way that kills me. But in a good way. I'm totally planning on going to BB and stealing those things off the shelf.

And Victor Garber? Inbe-fuckin'-lievably hot-worthy. I've been feening on this guy since Annie back in, what? 1994? 1995? Damn.

Oh! Last night I dreamt that I met Hal Sparks. In a random room, seemed like the corridor of a hospital. I was all "Ah! Hal Sparks! I love you. But, you know, not in a creepy stalker way. Ha ha, I don't even know you. I mean, I know your work on the show and it's great. Eh." His expression (in my head) was priceless. I like how my Alias marathon session led to other TV stuff coming to the unconscious surface.

I hope to be caught up by then. I'm well on my way through Season One. Great stuff.

I do wish there was more Gina Torres (Anna Espinoza) in it, though.

I never got to see much of her, so I didn't really know what her contribution to the story line was. I saw the end of Season 2 when it was airing, and caught the rest of that season during reruns. One day I'll watch everything in its entirety though.
