Outside, it's like something out of the rainstorm scene in Karate Kid II. Let me see Ralph Macchio struggling to make his way up at telephone pole to save a weeping Japanese girl and it's ovah.

And that's when the uncle tells his nephew that he's dead to him now!

How they were able to put so much poetic beauty in Karate Kid 2 is beyond me. :D

*grin* Come on, this is Karate Kid we're taking about; all of them were bad, but it comes down to *degree* of badness. I think the first two were more or less comparable. Was 4 the one with Hillary Swank? Yeah, that was pretty rank. At least Mr. Myagi (sp?) was still around to kick ass and share words of wisdom.

When I think of Karate Kid II I think of the video game for NES, where the final mission had you jumping up a pixilated poll to save that chick, dodging flying bonzais all the while. It was hilarious. :)

The more I recall the movie, the more I realize it wasn't THAT bad. I mean, it was bad, but it's one of those things that our generation can bring up in casual conversation without degenerating into MST3K talk about it.
