A possible way out: my English Prof e-mailed me and asked me if I might be willing to present on Monday. We're a wee bit backed up on the presentation schedule, and since another girl is doing lesbian comics on Monday the topics might mesh together better. I contained my glee and said "sure". Thing is, I still have to be ready to present today, just in case we make up time. So I'm still doing the work putting my stuff together (and I get to pour through ALL of my comics to find the first issue with Mystique and Destiny in it; oh, the joy ::eyeroll::) but the knot in my gut is unclenching a wee bit.

My littlest bro's off from school today (Immaculate Conception), and I showed him the contents of my bank account. His expression and exclamation were *priceless*. I wish I could have captured it and shared it here. "That's all?!?", he goes, "I have more than that!!" I sez "Yeah, dude. So I hope y'all aren't expecting anything for Christmas..." He just gives me the eye. Heh.

ETA - I just showed my mom my last English paper. Got the expected "Congratulations!" and semi-hug. Because...sometimes you need to feel like you're not a complete and total idiot.
