Quote of the day:
"My self-love feature is broken." ~said by my Ethics professor during our discussion on Kant.
That's not necessarily an "in" joke - I wasn't paying attention to the context and when I heard that I just bust out laughing.

Something I love about Hunter (and I mean "love" in the most eyerolling way possible) is the way that people can just come up in that piece and take classes. And I'm not speaking of their lenient admission policy here, but the fact that the buildings are not secure at all. There's actually an entrance directly into the school from the adjacent subway and no security guard checking IDs at the doors, so any Sally Curious can get her learn on when the whim takes her. There was a woman in Ethics today who was one of those. From what I gleaned from her she followed my professor around ALL DAY. It would appear the man officially has a groupie.

No more class 'til Wednesday. I'm very happy about that. I need to catch up on my readings, seeing as crunch time hits me in two weeks.

Ever get the urge to go up to people and say "You, sir, are an arse!" and just leave it at that?

No? Just me then? All right.

I took Ethics two semesters ago had Weisberg...he was cool and I actually liked that class. Kantian theory always screwed me up. I never fully grasped it.

Why haven't any Darkwave bands covered Bon Jovi songs?

I get that urge frequently. I quench it my smiling at said person and thinking very hard "You, sir, are an arse!!!" They get nervous when you smile at them for no reason.

Funny enough, it was the question that wandering groupie lady asked after class that really brought the idea of the Categorical Imperative home for me. I was really lost with all the convoluted writing and example making until that point. I'm liking this class too. Ethics, if taught by someone with a sense of humor, can be surprisingly palatable.

You know, I'm not really sure. I recall hearing it enough that it's become a permanent part of my vocabulary, though.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

*grin* I'm sensing that, from the responses I've gotten. Sometimes people just piss you off royally (I'm feeling it right now, to be honest) and you don't want to enter discussion or an argument, you only want to punch them a couple of times. Civility prevails, though, and instead you want to verbally smack them. That's where that comes from.

*grin* Ha! Like the chimp smile of aggression. I'd do that, except I'm really bad at faking smiles. It's like those muscles don't want to cooperate when I'm pissed about something.

No, I swear I'm not being mean. I almost choked when I saw it because he looks EXACTLY LIKE THAT. I mean, he is the living version of that troll. Even my friend that set us up (that bitch) couldn't stop laughing because it was THAT accurate.

Anyway, happy easter!
