Self-love is sex with someone I love
Mar. 23rd, 2005 11:42 pmQuote of the day:
"My self-love feature is broken." ~said by my Ethics professor during our discussion on Kant.
That's not necessarily an "in" joke - I wasn't paying attention to the context and when I heard that I just bust out laughing.
Something I love about Hunter (and I mean "love" in the most eyerolling way possible) is the way that people can just come up in that piece and take classes. And I'm not speaking of their lenient admission policy here, but the fact that the buildings are not secure at all. There's actually an entrance directly into the school from the adjacent subway and no security guard checking IDs at the doors, so any Sally Curious can get her learn on when the whim takes her. There was a woman in Ethics today who was one of those. From what I gleaned from her she followed my professor around ALL DAY. It would appear the man officially has a groupie.
No more class 'til Wednesday. I'm very happy about that. I need to catch up on my readings, seeing as crunch time hits me in two weeks.

Ever get the urge to go up to people and say "You, sir, are an arse!" and just leave it at that?
No? Just me then? All right.

Date: 2005-03-25 02:59 am (UTC)*grin* I'm sensing that, from the responses I've gotten. Sometimes people just piss you off royally (I'm feeling it right now, to be honest) and you don't want to enter discussion or an argument, you only want to punch them a couple of times. Civility prevails, though, and instead you want to verbally smack them. That's where that comes from.
