You know when you stand still and try shouting out to the passersby and no one stops to give you the time of day? Yeah. It's one of those days.

On a lighter note, some woman called me at 5AM and asked if I was Cracker Barrel [ed. - an East Coast chain of "countrified" grocery store/restaurants]. To which I should have said "Why yes, how may we help you?" (hindsight's a biatch as well), but I was too shocked and instead said "Uhm...no...". I thought it was a prank at first, but the woman sounded entirely too old for that sort of thing. And I had no idea Cracker Barrel was open at 5 in the morning. Guess it was a good thing that I was wide awake.

I can't believe the venom some people can spew, all because of this show. And these are the *loyal viewers*, not some Southern Baptist conservatives or a-hole Republicans standing on their soapboxes. Post after post of "this is the worst show ever" and "Cowlip sucks", no matter what's presented to them. It's hilarious, in a "what the hell are you people's problems??" sort of way.

Perhaps Cowlip shouldn't have jumped out of the box and asserted that QaF would be "groundbreaking" without clearly defining what "groundbreaking" meant to them - lots of guy-on-guy simulated action interspersed with the token "lesbionic" action every three episodes or so. The stories are contrived, the dialogue cliche-filled, and the characters (for the most part) are ill-developed. But it's trashy escapist fun. How can people not realize this? Why do they insist on playing The Comic Book Store Guy ("worst...episode...ever!") every Sunday at 10PM? Don't they get tired of it? Justin's always going to be a pathetic excuse of a young adult. Brian's always going to be a shallow but haunted anti-hero. Ted's always going to be a loser. Emmett's...well, whatever the hell Em is, he's always going to be that. Lindsay and Mel are always going to be the token lesbians/breeders. Michael's the only character that's been given some room to grow, and even that is tentative, depending on what the plot requires. The writing of this show is piss-poor and inconsistent. DEAL WITH IT. STOP WATCHING IF IT'S MAKING YOUR LIFE MISERABLE. Pull out your Season 1 DVDs or your UK Version, watch that, and stop clogging up the BB's with how much of a bastard Brian's being to Michael/Justin/heterosexuals/the citizens of Gambia.

And another thing....THESE ARE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS! How can you analyze anyone's behavior if we all know the writers are nothing if not inconsistent? People's actions change from week to week. Hell, even the actors comment on this. So when I read "case study analyses" of people like C&L's Jesus, Brian Kinney, I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or wonder if you people have a goddamned life. THEY'RE NOT REAL! Don't gripe about whatever idiotic words have come out of Debbie's mouth, rail against the writers for making her say that out-of-character thing! Dear Lord, I need a drink.

God. I must be sorely starved for conversation. I actually stooped low enough to attempt a serious discussion on a BB. I'm waiting for anatomically-impossible insults and/or jabs at my lineage to commence at any moment.

*sigh*. I need to get the fudge out of here and study for my CS final, that's what I need to do...
