Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] gorzo. Keep the carousing down to a minimum and get some rest. *grin*

So, yes, I did find my NIN shirt and I did wear it to work. Lucky thing I did, because it led to me striking up conversation with a rather cool co-worker who was also temporary. The day was slow, but we chatted about every and anything, and it made time fly. I promised her I'd burn copies of Radiohead's "Kid A" and "Hail to the Thief" and she mentioned bring in a boxed set of "Cowboy Bebop" that I could look at. We're similar enough in personality, though, that I'm fairly certain any companionship we feel will die once we're let go from Shake and Co., even though we both go to Hunter.

I also got acquainted with a young man working there, who struck me as extremely attractive on first glance. He mentioned that he wasn't in college at the moment, but when he went he studied Industrial Design at FIT. I was impressed; brains and beauty. But then he mentioned he liked "running" (bringing students the books they required for their classes) because "my brain's a little...slow?" As he kept talking I kept realizing how vapid he was. It's not only girls that get by on looks, guys. God bless him, he was nice, but he was really...not intelligent. He did mention that he acted a bit on a Korean-American show on a channel that I don't think I have available to me on Time Warner cable and that he wanted to go to Korea (presumably South, but he didn't specify) to expand his acting choices. I understood his reasoning, but his explanation...his attractiveness decreased a bit after that. He's still nice eye candy, but nothing more.

A friend from Brown came down for a visit today as well. It was a nice break, at lunch, to meet up with her and just talk about randomness. That was the theme for today - random conversations with people that may or may not give two shits about me.

It was different.
