Day 3 at Sea
Dec. 11th, 2007 06:30 amThis will be briefer than I need it to be, because the internet on this boat is, as the kids would say, "for shit". We left Cozumel around 10PM last night and are on our way to either Ocho Rios or Grand Cayman. I forget, as I'm tired as a mofo and coming down with some nasty sore throat/muscle achy business. I'm hanging with my Grandmother and she's cool (boy is she cool - yesterday during lunch she regaled me with the physiological differences between young women and older women, and why older women shouldn't take up with younger men. I laughed so hard I cried) but we end up hanging other almost all the time, which is a no-no in my book. I need my space. Add to that the fact that she can't sleep in total darkness, gets paranoid at inconvenient times, and gets quite restless in her sleep, and it all totals up to me getting mebbe 5-6 hours under my belt for the last couple of days. I love the woman to death, but man!, I'm going to require a vacation from my vacation.
My bitching aside, it's quite fun overall. I haven't gotten seasick, so that's a plus. The sites of Tulum, Playa de Carmen, and Cozumel were great. And the view from the balcony when we're at sea, particularly on a clear night? Spec-fuckin'-tacular.
Be well times three, I'll catch up on journals and the like when I get back home, because the load time for post pages is something like a minute and it's eating up my costly internet playtime. :(
A question for my fanfic friends:( Read more... )
