Shhh! don't say that about Mac harddrives. My bro has had one for little over a year, and its proven itself very reliable. No viruses, no random shutdowns, just cool beans. ThinkPad sounds like a good deal and I'll check it out. And, oh yes, I'm avoiding Vista like the plague.
