And with fanfic- it is funny that descriptions are hard to come by without sounding strange, but it's kind of the same with lots of fictional stories..I'm not sure I could even describe the books i'm reading now without a disclaimer, "Just trust me- it's better than it sounds!" This is true. I think I can describe fanfic that I believe to be *bad* easily. But when it comes to the stuff I enjoy I just want to gush and be all "and, omg!, I loved it when" xyz, without having to be all eloquent and, you know, use my college degree or what have you. And when you're around fanfolk you can gush and they totally understand what you're trying to say. It's surreal.
