Crab, corn, and cod chowder (C3 Chowder? Or is "The Alliteration Special" a more appropriate name?) was made, and it was/is awesome. I made a massive kettle pot full, and I'm hoping to pawn it off to family and possibly strangers walking down my block if things get desperate. Sadly, the recipe only called for one cup of half & half, so I still have three containers of the damned thing sitting in my fridge, all due to expire in two weeks.

I'm happy that I managed to get myself together enough to trek into the city for the ingredients. Leaps and bounds, my friends.

How'd you end up with so much half & half?

Expired milk/cream can be used for baking, apparently. Daniel's mom does it all the time. Some recipes even call for it.

You could also try taking it to a food bank. Some of them have refrigeration - I used to get yogurt and milk from the food bank in Burlington.

My failed attempt to make my birthday cake resulted in no need for half and half to make whipped cream.

I might just make a cake and whip cream for the hell of it. Or look into the food bank donation.

I highly recommend making scrambled eggs with it. Scrambled eggs + half and half=party in your mouth.

And also? Fettucini Alfredo is what I did with half and half tonight and IT WAS GLORIOUS.
