fredericks-I'm slowly being changed by my time in the 'Shack. Yes Maynard, change is indeed coming through my shadow, but not necessarily the good kind. Well, no. I'm discovering positive and negative changes. Although I'm not really sure what can be categorized as what. The manager has this CD of 80's pop and rock that he plays on a loop in the store. I've developed a taste for The Bangles Eternal Flame. I find myself speaking with more authority, making it a point to bring my voice from my diaphragm, not my throat. That's always been a big problem with me; that coupled with the fact that my voice is so high-pitched and stereotypically feminine makes it hard to get people's attention and make them believe I know shit about electronics. But now it's much easier to be heard. I'm starting to focus on the *sale* as well as the customer. This one troubles me. When you start getting hyped about selling a $130 television, so much so that you literally dance your way down to the storage area, you know things are seriously fucked up. At least I haven't started pushing more expensive models off on customers for no good reason yet. If I ever start doing that I give you all liberty to put me down.
-"You look sexy" is in no way, shape, or form a pick-up line. How is someone supposed to respond to that? What do you expect? "Well I can see you like me for my witty personality and my affable nature, not my ass. Let's grab a cappuccino". Brother, please. Neither is "My real first name is 'Prince'". You think I don't have enough to put up with from you sexist idiots? Shut the fuck up and buy the damned power adaptor already.
-And why are there two spellings of adaptor (adapter)? What cruel god has allowed this to occur?
-You ever wonder what Jones (the cat) from Alien was thinking when all that shit went down? I'd love to read a story from his point of view. Bros and I had a blast trying to improv something. One of these days I'll get around to writing something down. But not before I get around to that guest article. Argh. Brain no work right.

-I need to learn Spanish. Never realized how convenient it was to know until I noticed that the two Spanish-speaking employees are basically guaranteed customers. You see that? I'm thinking about maximizing my commission, not bettering myself. I'm turning to the Dark Side. Not good. Not. Good.
