fredericksSaw X-Men 2 today. Mein Gott, it was fun. But overhyped. Not quite the best thing since sliced bread...maybe one of the best things since hot mustard; the debate's at committee. Anywho,
-"Halle, dear, do shut up. You can't act."
-"God, Wolvie. The sexual tension between you and Stryker is tangible. Either screw him or help him pick out curtains."
-"I really wish Wolverine and Cyclops would cut the chit-chat and measure their dicks already. This male posturing schtick is getting ridiculous."
-"Holy shit! You mean none of the X-Chicks fainted? That's a first."
-"Jean, you dumbass, get back in the Jet. Gawd, that was obviously natural selection and blatant set-up for a phoenix-like (ha ha...heh) resurrection at work."
-"Halle... shut the hell up."
-"Whoa. Nightcrawler's mackin' after just one day. You're the man."
-"Halle shut... ::catcalls from audience (note - I'm not making that up):: ...oh, you look sort of hot in that white blouse so I'll let you slide for now."
-"Wow! That really was an ingenious plan, Storm. But, seeing as you guys didn't save Stryker's son after all was said and done, why didn't you just blast his ass with lightening and get it over with...? Oh yeah, right, ambiguous endings... X3's coming out soon..."

-"Aww man! No "Fastball Special"? I'm hurt.
-"Wait...Colossus hasn't said "nyet" or "da" yet. Wait...he doesn't even have a friggin' accent! And his pecs are, like, huge!"
-"Whoa! It's Methos! And not only is he a bit-player, but he doesn't have a British accent! What gives?!?!"
A few spoiler-laden comments I made during the course of the viewing, out of sequence because I'm lazy and tired.

What sucks - spyware and pop-ups
What sucks - getting 2 hours sleep
What sucks hard - waking up with the shakes
What sucks even harder - limping all day
What rocks - calling home and being enthusiastically greeted by your dad
What sucks - finding out the reason why your dad's home
What sucks hard - finding out that your dad might go out on strike/get fired
What rocks - Six Feet Under
What sucks - "Resources left, C drive = 600MB"
What rocks - doing homework and studying
What sucks - fucking up the homework and not really caring after a while
What rocks - realizing you're not the only one that decided to see X-2 solo
What sucks - realizing you're not sure whether that should suck or rock
What rocks - extra money
What sucks - recalling that getting that money involves you subbing for the dude that works the shift after yours
What sucks hard - remembering you only got 2 hours sleep and can't think straight
What sucks harder - trying to leave your room in order to get to your shift on time
What sucks - the Campus Market and the fact that it's as hot as a sauna for some unknown reason
What sucks hard - nearly falling asleep on yourself twice during hour 1 of your 8 hour stint
What rocks - sitting outside the Market and watching NBA play-off games when there are no customers around
What rocks - spontaneous conversation with a random guy who decides to watch the Philly/New Orleans game with you
What sucks - having said guy's friend emerge from the woodworks just as you attempt to move conversation from the evil that is Reggie Miller to where said guy is from
What sucks hard - realizing you used the word "default" at least 10 times during the course of the conversation
What rocks - having said guy stick around outside the Market while you're stuck cleaning up
What sucks - realizing he's most likely sticking around to hit on the cute girl in the key booth
What sucks hard - seeing him not speaking to the girl and not being sure what the hell he's doing
What sucks the ultimate suck - not having the cojones to go and ask him for his number
What's amusing - remembering what "cojones" is spanish for and realizing you'd need a "Y" chromosome or a shitload of testosterone to have them.
What rocks - closing up the Market with the lights on low and blasting Radiohead's "How To Disappear Completely" while singing along
What sucks - being struck by the thought that this song sums up your take on your life at the present and being moved to tears
What sucks hard - thinking that Thom Yorke might have written the song to be sarcastic, in the same way he wrote "Optimistic"
What rocks/sucks - not giving a shit
What rocks - doing laundry for the first time in 3 weeks
What sucks - not having dryer sheets
What rocks - sleep
