I am scared about my impending trial-by-fire once school starts, worried about Krishna's declining health, and alternating between anger/sadness by the happenings in the areas affected by Katrina, so I decided to spend my worries away. Foolish, I know, but I got paid yesterday and being a social pariah I have little else to do for distraction. Picked up the last three GN's of Jack Robinson's Starman, Christopher Paolini's Eragon, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" by My Chemical Romance (I figure, hells, I might as well hand in my outsider card already) and Kayne West's new album. West's thing is good, I think; haven't made it all the way through yet. Been bobbing my head quite a bit, so that's always good.

I apologize for not commenting much in other's entries. I've been reading, but I just haven't thought of much to say. Been trying to remedy that.

I sorely dislike reading Oprah Bookclub-worthy books in book clubs, but I do it because sometimes I learn something. Why is it that people can't muster it in themselves to approach suggested GN's in the same light? Give it a bloody try - you might learn a little something. Blankets is intriguing. Why can no one else see that? *sigh* Every time I read it I fall more and more in love with it.
