My parents are in Vegas for the week, parents and one grandmother - it's as if we've all of a sudden decided Vegas is *the* hot spot for us. That means I'm the official head-of-household, and as the only female it means I've been dubbed temporary chef for three continually hungry younger brothers. When I should have been paying attention to a boring lesson on malpractice I was instead trying to plan dinner for the week. The hard part is that I have shows to go to on Wednesday and Thursday: Wednesday's a Summer Solstice concert at my church, a performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons by the Orchestra of St. Lukes (!! very excited about this) and Thursday is The ThreePenny Opera at Studio 54 (last minute and only because it's closing on the 25th; Alan Cumming, Cyndi Lauper, AND Jim Dale in one place...be still my heart). I think I have everything set and I'm planning on cooking tomorrow evening and freezing the stuff for Wednesday and Thursday. I have clinical on those days from 7AM to 2:30PM and the shows start at 8. By the time I head back home it'll be close to 4, and then coming back would take an hour or so. I figure it's better if I just stay out in the city instead of trudging back and forth. This evening I made Green Curry with rice noodles and omg the *heat*. I mean, we eat tons of pepper over here, but this was serious "clear your sinuses" heat, but very good. I hope my brothers end up eating it, otherwise it'll just be a huge waste of time.

Test tomorrow, first of the summer. I'm not terribly confident but the curry's blazing in my gut so at least the butterflies haven't had a chance to start up yet.
