Long time no see

1. What are you most thankful for?
My family. They can be a collective pain in my ass, but it's nice to know that there are a set of people out there that didn't necessarily choose to have me in their lives but can tolerate my quirks.
2. Think back one year, have the things you are thankful for changed?
I have a job to add to the mix, so sort of. The basic important things remain the same.
3. What did you feast on yesterday?
Jesus (or everything *but*, I suppose): turkey, roast pork, salmon, stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, yams, vegetable lasagna, monkey bread, red velvet cake...I know I'm missing things.
4. This time of year is filled with parties, gifts, friends, and family, what are you looking forward to the most?
The time leading to Christmas is the best, IMO. The giddy anticipation of presents on Christmas Day is certainly gone (once you're over fifteen people simply don't take the time to pick out meaningful presents), but walking around in the snow, catching snatches of carols from homes and stores as you make your way past...always fun. Midnight Mass is the highlight. Everything after 2AM is downhill.
5. (insert December holiday here) is coming up, what if anything do you want for it
I read this wrong the first time 'round. I want anything that shows some amount of thought on the part of the givee. I don't care *what* it is, if the person hands over the present and says "I know you like X, so I bought/found/made Y", then I'll be a happy camper. Not that I have a problem with the money I'll inevitably end up getting (loans to pay and all), but *still*.
*BONUS: How do you like to cook your turkey?
...?Well-done? In the oven. I'd like to try frying it but the whole peanut oil thing has me worried about third-degree burns.

I'm a very sensitive soul. Overly sensitive, even. And I'm very *very* shy. I simply mask it well...or poorly, depending on your point of view.

It really doesn't feel like Friday (thanks, Thanksgiving, for screwing up my internal clock). I have to work tomorrow and I am nervous as all hell. I shouldn't be, but I don't want to flub in front of my clinical coach. I'm pretty sure all the blood flow that's being diverted to my digestive tract to tackle yesterday's meal and this morning/afternoon/evening's leftovers is lessening the supply to my brain and allowing me to freak out more than usual. Joy.

Why I love Guitar Hero II
- Pro-Face Off Mode.
- You get to play the Spinal Tap song "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You (Tonight)" and the drummer blows up at the end.
- Fifth songs disguised as encores.
- Hangar 18. HANGAR 18. This series has solidified my Megadeth love.
- You get to play as bass or rhythm guitar while playing in cooperative mode.
- The songs are awesome. Like, totally.
Seriously, the game has eaten my brain. Picked it up on Wednesday and have spent a good part of the last couple of days bustin' it up. AD-dictive.
