Oct. 12th, 2007 09:19 pmI had my first Wii casualty this morning. RIP, crystal flower vase. I shouldn't have gone so hard on that backhand.
I thought Season 1 of Avatar was fun, quirky, and mildly entertaining. Season 2, though? Okay, I almost teared up during "Appa's Lost Days". And I was on the *bus*. This show is no joke. Gah! It brings the funny and the pathos hard. I alternate between going "goddammit, Zuko!" and "aww; poor thing just needs a hug".
ETA - I read a NYTimes article about Avatar, and how Nickelodeon only plans to make three seasons/60 episodes (the number the network uses to decide syndication). The article was from 2005, when the show first came out, but I'm thinking it probably still holds. ( minorly spoilerific )
Overtime was offered for tomorrow night. With the dwindling amount in my bank account I had to weigh party versus monies. It was tough, but monies won out. Sorry. :( I'll drink something for you tonight and pretend I'm there while I'm slaving away tomorrow.
I actually got a good amount of sleep under my belt this afternoon: eight hours. This is a record, I think.
