Baby Steps

Trying to write article on Oscars. Have no clue about film. Wish I could steal modpixie's brain for, like, one hour. I'd return it starched and de-linted, honest! Have yet to begin article on SMART Initiative, but did interview bigwig in Education School. Hope I don't misquote him too badly.

I'm not even going to front - the real reason why I'm up now after spending all day in the hospital? Samurai Champloo in 30 minutes. God help me, I'm semi-addicted at this point.

Clinical today in a nutshell: walked around, demonstrated major deficiency in practical knowledge, smiled at patients, got to feel up cute appendectomy patient, a guy who turned out to be the only person on the floor below the age of 50. The feeling up was completely professional, btw.

My aunt got tickets for an Off Off Broadway play. The catch? The show is this Sunday at 8PM. I'm on the fence as to whether I should blow her off or not. I feel the need to add my voice to the chorus of people that will be yelling at the TV screen come 7PM that night.

BTW - Tonight's Samurai Champloo? Awesome beyond awesome. Actually left me with a BSG "holy shit!" when everything was said and done. To be continued, though. DAMMIT! Friday Night Fix, I need to take you straight through a central line...
