omgwtfbbq! Roughly an hour and 5 minutes ago "Kobol's Last Gleaming" was hands-down my favorite episode of Battlestar Galactica. What happened in the last hour and 5 minutes to change my mind? "Downloaded". People across the pond - the episode is AMAZING. I laughed, I cried, I liked Gaius! Just...find it. Watch it. And worship.
ETA - ARGH! It's the night of amazing TV shows. The newest episode of SC up at Friday Night Fix has me wanting to rush out and buy the DVD to find out how things end. Damn. I was never so not bitter about being without a social life before. Give me a couple of minutes to start brooding again.

I really wonder if Adama and the president would ever trust Galactica-Boomer and Caprica-6 if they somehow got off planet and to the fleet to warn them?

Date: 2006-02-25 04:59 pm (UTC)What a fantastic episode...
So it begins, right, with Caprica Six's death and rebirth, as she's waking up in a pool of goo and the camera pans to her right, and I see Baltar standing over there, I audibally gasped and nearly crapped my pants...
Then it all began to make sense.
I really love that the Baltar in Six's head is just as twisted and mean to her as the Six in Baltar's head is to him.. What a fantastic twist on that whole story line..
Really good stuff.

Date: 2006-02-25 05:17 pm (UTC)Hee! I jumped up in my bed and squealed (sort of like a pig *grin*) "I knew it! His ass is a CY-" then he said "Shh. No one can see me but you" and I thought "Damn you, Ron and Co.; you bastards are goooooooood." It was all uphill from there.

Actually, I felt there was more of a juxtaposition between CapricaSix's Baltar and Baltar's Six. The Baltar in Six's head was the same sardonic suave guy we saw back in the mini (to the nth degree, even) but loving. I didn't think he was terribly twisted but simply honest in pointing out the things that CapricaSix had done. Both characters use their "head people" to point out the truth as they see it, and sometimes that truth consists of asking "the hard questions". It just so happens that Baltar's Six is an uber-sexual woman, just the way Baltar chooses to remember her and CapricaSix's Baltar is uber-suave, just the way CapricaSix chooses to remember him.
And I know it makes me a punk but when CapricaSix's Baltar said "I've never loved anyone as much as you now" I damn near melted inside. If only the real Baltar was as great as that guy. *le sigh*
Whoo! Can't wait until next week's two hour finale.
