I sort of made it. Last night I gave in and made a quick post, then deleted it because it was whine-tastic. It's nice to read about you people, dammit.

School's done, paper handed in, pharmacology exam Scantron'd, and all I want to do is download episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist and cry. Preferrably curled in a tight ball underneath my blankets. For the whole of next week. :(

I can't stop the complaining. Oh man.

I just picked up on FMA. I'm making my way through from the beginning. Up to episode 8 right now. It made me cry yesterday. It's a keeper. Although I was at my emotional limit so I suppose it didn't have to push that hard.

And because it's the beginning of my Spring Break, I had to do it...

Well, just one boobie. Normally I'd say they get lonely solo but this one's dancing up a storm. Go on with your Galapagoan self!

yeah, a booby! We have gannets here that look just like them but without the blue feet. nasty tempered things. I have all of Full Metal Alchemist. I love, love, love Col. Mustang and Haboc (or Havoc depending on the translation).

They're so adorable. It's such a shame the gannets are ill-tempered because otherwise I would have asked you to smuggle one up for me UPSP (not UPS because...issues!).

*grin* You and your crazy downloading skillz. If I had the space and download capabilities on my computer I'd be saving the epis and burning them onto a disk. As it is, youtube.com has been a godsend when it comes to me catching FMA episodes. I do wish more of the english-dubbed ones were available though; I'm as literate as the next person but I'd like to just sit back and not have to bother with all the readin' and stuff. And I should have known you'd be all up in the FMA. :)

Actually I broke down and bought FMA from hong kong. The subtitles are sketchy but I can practice my Japanese and watch the whole series!
Ugh! I am never having a lapse of kindness again. The dogs are very sweet but they keep barking and if I let them out like the owners do, they run away and I have to run madly down the street after them. Plus, they are lickers. My dog only licks on command. The pit bull especially likes to lick any exposed skin. Only a few more days though, I'll survive, thanks for asking. Glad to see you back from your haitus by the way.

Dude! I just finished episode...8? I've never been on the edge of my seat while watching a cartoon, but I was for the last 5 minutes or so. And then I cried. Manly tears, but I cried. Again.

So very good. If you can stomach the first episode you're in for an enjoyable ride.

FMA is just awesome. My husband kind of fell out of the whole anime thing for a while, then we caught some FMA, on friends' recommendations. Totally sucked us in, and now we own the first 8 DVDs (after I'd vowed not to buy anymore anime until I caught up with the ones we already had . . . whoops), and it is just NOT coming out quickly enough.

I splurged on the first four DVDs of Samurai Champloo which is good in its own way, but it doesn't have the emotional hold on me that FMA has. I regret the purchase now, wish I had better impulse restraint so I could have bought FMA instead. They get you with the whole only having 3 episodes on a disk thing, though. It's ridiculous. I hope they come out with the complete box set once they get the entire dubbed series out on DVD.

Yeah, anime is a helluvan expensive hobby, especially if you're not waiting around for the box set. Even then, something like the Trigun set isn't much cheaper. I've been hoping that one'll come down in price for YEARS.
