And then
chaossix6's panorama view. A link to the post. He posts great photographs, the kind of greatness that fools a body into thinking it's easy and you with the urge to pick up a camera (or brush, or pen, etc) and try your hand as well.

Late, I know, but I hope you all voted in your local primaries. Your vote is your voice. Funny enough, I didn't get a chance to vote, even though I worked from 5:30AM to 9:30PM at a polling facility. The place I had to cast my ballot wasn't close enough for me to reach without transportation, and my breaks didn't allow me enough time to make it over there. The candidates I would have voted for won, so that's some small consolation. The book I was reading (and managed to finish while there, btw), The Store, had a nice running commentary on the importance of being politically active in the local arena. I'm pretty sure something seeped into my brain during the course of the (longest) workday (ever).

Anyone interested in seeing Jon Stewart and Co. with me? I have an extra ticket to a taping of The Daily Show on Monday, September 25th. It's more like a possible ticket, as seats aren't guaranteed - you have to line up and wait and hope your reservations are called. As long as you get there two hours before they let people in things are peachy keen. Taping begins at 4:45, so we'd have to meet up sometime before 3:30PM, I think. I'll most likely get to the line by 1:30-2, because I'mquite desperate to see Mssr. Stewart anal like that. E-mail or reply and let me know.

Date: 2006-09-13 06:47 pm (UTC)I was thinking about the election today. I wish I could have voted, but I don't think New Jersey votes would count. *grin*
That picture is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
Enjoy The Daily Show! I'm reminded of last year when you had gotten tickets around this time, and I was supposed to go, and something came up and we couldn't. I will meet up with you one day, I vow it!

Date: 2006-09-14 10:36 pm (UTC)Don't feel bad. You're one of those people whose presence on LJ makes me feel tons better. You don't have to feel moved to comment if you don't want to. :) I've been in a bit of a funk lately and have been fairly lax with the comments as well. I'm sort of hoping folks understand but meh. I'll prod myself into being more LJ active.
NJ had primaries too! Aww. Make sure you're registered to vote in the general elections in October.
We have to get together someday. Like, seriously. Like, no joke.

Date: 2006-09-15 02:47 am (UTC)Aw, that makes me feel good. I do always read your entries, even though I may not comment. You just rock so much, and I really mean that. I've been in a funk online lately, and this is really the first time I've been online at home instead of at work. I just have no energy anymore.
Aheh...I only knew about the NY primaries, because I saw the commercials 18308057085 million times a day. I don't even keep up with politics too much. *blush*
Dude. People's Court. End of October. That is, if you're still interested. I'll be calling for tickets the beginning of next month, so let me know whenever. I'll remind you via email around October 1. :)
Re: I'm so bad...Meep
Date: 2006-09-15 02:54 am (UTC)And thanks for the compliment! You rock too, L-dawg, you know it. I understand the funk because that's where I'm living too at the moment. I need to find the energy to get off my ass and hunt down a job. There's this nursing job far in the second week of October I'm keen on but I really shouldn't be waiting until then to find a job and...why am I sticking all this stuff in your comment? *sigh*
Anyway, take some time for yourself. Maybe take some St. John's Wort to combat the funk? Try to walk around a little extra for exercise if you can. Sometimes that helps. *hugs*
Re: I'm so bad...Meep
Date: 2006-09-15 03:07 am (UTC)Aw, you're very welcome. And thank you for the compliment! :) I don't blame you for not wanting to search for a job right away. Being a grown-up sucks, especially when you have responsibilities. :( I don't mind that you stick all that in my comment. :)
I'm beginning to walk home from work, and that helps clear my head after the long day, and it also helps with my exercising. I've started doing DDR once a week also, and that provides fun as well as much-needed exercise. Thanks so much for the suggestions -- I'll definitely look for St. John's Wort when I'm out tomorrow. *hugs*
