I've managed to catch an episode of DS9 on SpikeTV. Two things come to mind: One, Elim Garak is one of the most awesome characters ever played out on the screen (the moral he takes from the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf? "[n]ever tell the same lie twice"), and Two, stirrup pants really don't look hot when worn as part of a uniform.

Middle bro leaves for university tomorrow, and it's got me feeling sort of nostalgic. "I Wish I Could Go Back To College" starts playing in my head at the most random times. Only the 'rents are accompanying him up tomorrow, but I figure we'll all end up making it out to his first football game. One less voice in the house. Hmm.

I most likely need to be socialized. Sent to a couple of, I don't know, people runs, I guess.

I met one of my classmates from grade school. He works in the deli of the hospital. He told me many of the people he kept in contact with from our school "had kids young", with the implication that they might have otherwise "fucked up". Schaudenfreude, indeed. Warm fuzzies and all that rot. With the usual dollop of guilt afterward. God, I disliked the lot of them.

Going back to the gym? An imperative.

Uhm, why is a movie titled "Halloween" coming out on August 31st?

I'm not going ANYWHERE. I'm taking my two weeks of vacation in September and I'm going to max and relax and save my damn money.

Is this how the male brain really works? Women dressed in evening gowns grinding on random pieces of furniture plus semi-tasty "gourmet" food equals a good time? I ask because Spike features ads for places like The Vip Club and Gallagher's 2000(?), places that seem to have nothing else but. What would the het female equivalent be? A well-worn paperback and a cup of hot tea?

I've been wondering the same thing about that silly Halloween movie. Another frequent thought is "How many times can they remake/make sequels for it?"

Because, you know, they don't want to be all cliche and all. Nah, releasing said movie on October 31st would be the stupidest idea ever! Really, Hollywood people...did you think we wouldn't notice this exactly-3-months-in-advance coincidence?

Ack, forgiveth me. It's 7:15 in the morning and part of my brain is still back home in my snuggly bed.

What is up with young people popping out kids so young? I haven't even thought of having kids before I'm 30 (or in my late 20s anyway). It is sort of depressing though.

oh my gosh it's not a sequel!!

halloween is being re-made completely by the horror movie making GENIUS rob zombie (http://imdb.com/name/nm0957772/)!!

he's going to focus more on michael's perspective of the story, actually develop characters and...i dunno...make it worth watching?

if you haven't seen house of 1000 corpses (http://imdb.com/title/tt0251736/) and devil's rejects (http://imdb.com/title/tt0395584/), this horror movie obsessed girl seriously recommends them....in case you couldn't tell by my icon collection.

bonus: his wife sheri (http://imdb.com/name/nm0600667/) is in all of his movies (as well as most of his album covers) and she is just about the hottest thing god ever created. mhmm.

as far as the release date, the only thing i can figure is that all of his movies are summer releases. maybe he didn't want to break the trend?

I am convinced that the studio won’t release Halloween on the 31st of October out fear of some superstition. It’s like when studios are afraid of releasing a movie on Friday the 13th *cough* Grindhouse *cough* out of fear that it will bomb at the box office, but still bombs anyways. Lol!

I don't have either of those. I think I used to have a Myspace page, but I tried to log in the other day and it gave me the "user not found" bit. I think they deleted. Or something. Neither do I have a Facebook page, AFAIK.

I have AIM, but I'm almost never on. My info is on my LJ user info page. No Skype.
