Day Two of Vegas. We're staying in the mom-unit's time share, and it conveniently has a couple of internet-ready computer rooms (high-speed = whoo!) and a fitness center. Good times. The conference stuff actually starts Friday, although there is a n00bie ceremony this afternoon, along with a opening reception this evening.

The flight was long and annoying, as cross-country flights tend to be. Our entertainment options were sorely limited thanks to Delta's shoddy monitors, so I ended up re-reading a couple of Duet Press prints and gave my iPod up to the mom-unit (she gives "The Queen" one tired thumbs-up). Getting on the plane was the usual security nightmare, thanks to my bionic leg. The guard who patted me down was so damn thorough I felt like I needed a cigarette afterward. The least she could have done was bought me breakfast. Or left her number. Hmph.

There was gambling last night. Things didn't work out too well: I'm already in the negative column. I picked up tickets for Penn & Teller, and I think I want to check out Wayne Brady's show, but it depends on how much money I end up with at the end of the day.

This entry was way longer in my head. Hmm.

Ooh, Penn & Teller sounds like fun! I hope you get to see Wayne Brady too...that would be a fun time. (: He's hilarious.

Have lots of fun, my friend! I know you can use the relaxation and enjoyment. Make the most of it. *hugs*

*grin* He was funny, but, half of the show being improv, some of the bits fell a little flat (IMO). Even in those moments he managed to smile and laugh at himself a bit, so it remained entertaining. I really wish he would just do a song and dance show and de-emphasize the improv, but totally fun.

And thanks! I will. I'll try to bring you something. :)

I bet! Have you seen him on "Don't Forget the Lyrics!"? That man is an amazing song-and-dance performer. I'm glad you had a good time!

Aw, thank you! You're so sweet. (:

Bionic leg? Have I missed something all this time, or is this something you've never brought up before? If you've mentioned it and I've spaced on it, or I'm otherwise being dense about the true meaning of the comment, I appologize....my mind is currently mush due to the new job. Some days I'm lucky I don't dribble my food out of my mouth because of a lack of any coherent brain function.

Back in college I got into a fight with a moving motorcycle and lost. Blah blah blah, couple of surgeries, titanium in my right leg. I don't usually mention it too often.

Poor thing. I should swing by a fetish store and look for an adult size bib for you. *grin* Good luck and strength, my friend.

Why for are you in Vegas? What conference? My LH and I used to go out there for CES. Gonna miss it this year :-(, but consolation prize is Paris!
