Want to know what we're all a-twitter about in my house? The premiere of "American Gladiator". Fo'. Effin'. SERIOUS. Goddamn you, Writer's Strike. *sob*

I ask the following. Help me, FL; you're my only hope.

DS9 is the best Trek.

Yeah, that's right, I said it.

And so did I...about five years ago. (ooooooooooooohh!)
...
Snap, dude - who shot ya?
Rhetorically. Over tha interwebs.

The only time I stopped watching DS9 was when Jadzia bit it. I didn't want to have Ezri grow on me, and her and Julian just squigged me out. The finale though - damn. I shed womanly tears.

I'm torn between Hornblower and due South and oh god, *hides from any hint of any kind of virus* I've never had anything worse than a cold which has resulted in me being irrationally afraid of ever being sick.

But yes, I adore due South and Hornblower about equally so it's hard. I said due South cause it was listed first.

I'm up to "The Wrong War" in Hornblower, and I watched the first 20 eppys or so of due South. I like both of them. "Victoria's Secret" is a bit cheesy with all the Sarah MacLachlan and slow motion at the beginning, but DAMN did Paul Gross act his ass off once everything started going to shit for Fraser, or what? Definitely good television.

I know I'm going to get to it eventually. :) The disks are going for relatively cheap at Best Buy. I don't think I deserve much geek cred unless I can say I've watched all five seasons.

The only season I haven't seen is 5... I got pissed at the show and refused to watch, but now I own it and I'm working my way through. I'm on Season 4 right now, but seeing as it's taken me 2 years to get there, I should be at season 5 by 2009...

Also, let's not talk about how much they cost at Best Buy. Also, let's not talk about the hundreds of dollars I paid for them two years ago.

Ha! You sound like me and DS9. When it first started coming out on DVD, each season was something like $109 dollars. I loved the show so I splurged on the first disk, but lack of funds kept me from getting the rest. Good thing, too - I recently bought all nine seasons (yes, I have TWO copies of the first season now) from Amazon for $300. And I'm sure if I waited even longer I could have saved more money.

I vote Due South. I used to love that show!

I've been watching an embarrassing amount of reality tv during the writer's strike. Even with the bounty of dvds that I got for Christmas. Sigh.

I feel bad I didn't watch it regularly during its first run. It's not bad, but I find myself occasionally cringing because of the acting on the part of the non-regulars. And all the music. But Paul Gross does bring the pretty, doesn't he? Sweet Lord.

Because of the strike I've watched less TV in general. I guess it's a good thing, but, dammit! I want my idiot box back!

i accidentally didn't vote on a DVD. i would probably have voted for DS9, though. i've only ever watched a couple of episodes, myself, because i could never get into it. one day i'll watch them in order, which i think is probably the only way to do it.

though my favorite star trek is voyager, anyway.
